Earn While You Learn

Apprentices get paid while they train on the job and attend night classes. This can be a highly rewarding career path. Previous on-the-job experience or welding school may earn you credit towards your five-year apprenticeship.

Apprentices start at 62% of the Journeyman wage rate. The total wage package includes fringe benefits such as medical, dental and optical insurance plans, retirement plans and more.

The apprenticeship program is for a 5-year period and requires 8,750 on-the-job hours of work. Additionally, all apprentices attend 216 hours of related classroom instruction for each year while in the program.
